Our History & Background
My name is Quinita Edmonia Good, and I began writing seriously at the ripe age of 12. The words on my paper at that time were of the emotional release kind. However, the difference between just a past-time and something more sincere was that I actually began editing then. Voila! And my passion for writing and editing, as well as getting it right began.
Qwrites is a culmination of a course of events which helped me become a seasoned writer and voracious editor. These events included prizes and awards in the area of writing, including two 2004 New Jersey Press Association awards in journalism.
But it didn’t just end with skill and achievement. I wanted to share what I learned with others. Soon I became a Graduate Assistant at Montclair State University in Upper Montcliar, NJ, teaching Freshman Composition and tutoring in the school’s writing lab.
Today, I mentor, coach, and offer editorial services to other writers. Herein, it would only make sense that Qwrites would be my business, servicing organizations and individuals with excellence in the areas of writing and editing.
